Understanding a language is more than words describing words. Words are only 7% of a conversation. (Albert Mehrabian) To correctly interpret an interaction, a person must combine the meaning of words and the 80% of conversation: non-verbal language. (Pease & Pease, Ray Birdwhistell, Michael Argyle).
Some people call this body language. And it is a language. It’s not one gesture, posture, position or distance. That would be like hearing one word and know what the person would finish saying! And that is absurd! To understand non-verbal interaction, you must “read” the gestures, postures, positions and distance, all at one time, of a person speaking or not. Some think body language is a gimmick; it can’t be trusted; it’s different for different cultures.
That is not entirely true. BodyChats is not man-made. It is science based. Consider the following:

Do you need to know BodyChats?
Yes. If you learn to speak English, Spanish, German, French etc. something is missing. Words are only 7% of interaction. BodyChats is 80% and exposes attitudes and emotions of people speaking or not. Why is this important?

Can you tell if the person you are meeting for coffee is safe to be with? Words can tell lies. BodyChats can’t support lies because the brain controls body movement.
